Mmm Ahhh . . remembering the early Alec Baldwin days. He's lost 30 pounds by cutting out sugar. He's also doing Pilates and Spin and lookin' good!  He says he'd like to do Yoga more. Uhm, does all of this have anything to do with the facT that his current girlfriend is a Yoga instructor? 

 

 

Now this is not really official or anything, but Nothing is official yet, but Alec Baldwin claims Justin Bieber will host "Saturday Night Live" sometime this season.  Alec says he'll also be the musical guest.  Justin has never hosted "SNL", but he was the musical guest back in April of 2010, and made a cameo appearance in a "Church Lady" skit last February.  

 

If you're an "Arrested Development" fan, you'll be happy to know that the entire cast will be back for the new season, which will premiere on Netflix sometime NEXT year.  The plan is to have a 10-episode season start in "early 2013," with a theatrical movie to follow.

 

Even though the ratings were less than spectacular, The "X-Factor" will be back next season -- but there will be some changes.  Mainly with the HOST . . Steve Jones is out and it sounds like it wasn't his doing.  Last month he Tweetd, "Fingers crossed, I'd love to come back . . . if they want me back, great.  If they don't, I'll do something else, it's as simple as that." and last night's Tweet went like this . . "I won't be hosting next seasons 'X Factor', which is a shame, but I can't complain as I've had a great time.  Good luck to everyone on the show."  Nicole Scherzinger is also out.  Some say she wants to concentrate on her music career, some say she's been canned because she's too sappy.  Paula Abdul might even be a goner, although that is the one person that Simon Cowell, nor the X-Factor peeps have confirmed is leaving.  Here -- relive one of the worst moments on television: http://youtu.be/LbWBrlT1NBA

 

 

Rihanna has made a new purchase.  She recently spent a reported $157,000 to have a British artist create a 5-foot-square portrait of Marilyn Monroe made from 65,000 crystals.  The art was then shipped to Rihanna's Beverly Hills mansion. The portrait constantly changes color, sending rainbows of light round the room.

Is Rosie O'Donnell moving a little fast?  She just met her girlfriend, Michelle Rounds, at a Starbucks over the summer.  They've only been engaged since last month.  And they're already trying to have a kid. Oh this is good.  A couple of weeks ago, I had mentioned that Taylor Swift should date Tim Tebow.  Well, Tim has been labeled a religious good boy.  So that makes sense.  Now the "National Enquirer" claims Kim Kardashian is trying to get her hooks into him.  A source says, "Kim needs to rehab her image to get her career revved up again.  Dating someone like Tim Tebow would certainly do the trick." What do Tim's people say?, "Tim's been made aware of Kim's crush, and although flattered, he's not interested. Period. Thank you and good night."  (I added the last part . . just for the dramatic effect)

 

 

I have to admit, I never thought about whether or not celebrities let their kids GOOGLE them.  As it turns out, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do not. Brad says, "On all the kids' computers we had our names blocked.  They can't Google their mom and dad.  I don't want to make myself dependent on what other people think."

 

 

Jon Cryer was asked, for like the nine thousanth time, how he likes working with Ashton Kutcher on "Two and a Half Men", and how it's different from having Charlie Sheen around. We got a better response this time.  Jon Said, "Ashton is great.  He's a clown.  He's up for anything, willing to do anything. It's a little less suspenseful being on the set now a days. When you come into work, you are pretty sure Ashton's going to be there.  And nobody's pushed his car off a cliff or anything like that." 

 

 

NOT UHH!!!  The Spice Girls might reunite!! I guess there's been some talk that they were thinking of getting back together while the Olympics were in London this summer, but . . in an interview on Australian TV, Mel B. said, "I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen."   Afterwards, she reportedly said backstage, "I'm going to be in such strife for saying that.  It's all so totally bloody top-secret still."   http://youtu.be/gJLIiF15wjQ

He also re-Tweeted this from a follower:  "Some people don't realize how @50cent is more philanthropist and activist than rapper and mogul."  And 50 added,  "I'm trying."

It's been just over three weeks since Nick Cannon was hospitalized for mild kidney failure and he's looking to hit the gym again.  Yesterday he Tweeted, "My doctor said today is the first day that I can work out again.  I got to get back to fight weight!  The Hulk is on his way back!  Getting back in shape is going to be tough.  The doctor said because of my condition, my body can't process protein and that's what builds muscle.  Time to work smarter not harder, but I got to get right by the time 'America's Got Talent' starts!

Showin some love for Tupac, Rihanna got "Thug Life" tattooed on her fingers.

 

Good times!!  In a recent interview, Pat Sajak said he and Vanna would hit up a local Mexican restaurant between tapings. He said, "They served great margaritas, so Vanna and I would go and have two, or three or six, and then come [back] and do the last shows, and have trouble recognizing the alphabet.  They're really good tapes to get a hold of."

 

 

This won't shock anyone, I'm sure . . Someone took some pictures of Kim Kardashian at a beauty salon in Santa Monica the other day, and in one of the photos, you can see the screen of her Blackberry.  Kim receives Google Alerts about HERSELF.  In other words, Google lets her know whenever someone writes an article about her. 

 

Word is that Simon Cowell is developing a new INTERNATIONAL reality show for DJs. He says, "DJs are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make [it]. This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent." !!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

Charlie thinks that, even though Ashton Kutcher is doing a good job on "Two and a Half Men", he still thinks the show should end after this season. "I don't want to harp on them.  Let the clueless stay clueless.  I was a puppet there for ratings.  But, whatever . . . I don't care.  I've moved on, and whatever they're doing there is none of my business."

 

 

NBC is toying with the idea of doing a spin-off of "The Office" starring Dwight. "Sources" say the show wouldn't take place in the office this time.  It will follow Dwight's life on his family's beet farm and bed & breakfast, which has been featured on "The Office" several times. The untitled Dwight show wouldn't begin until "early 2013."

 

 

Adele's album "21" has hit 17 weeks at #1 after selling another 95,000 copies.  That's the most non-consecutive weeks at #1 since "The Bodyguard" soundtrack spent 20 weeks there in 1993.  Adele's album has moved more than 17 million copies worldwide since its release one year ago.

Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital Monday night.  Her rep blamed STRESS and EXHAUSTION.  Here's the official statement, "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.  She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."  Poor girl. :-/

 

 

The cat fight of all cat fights . . Joan Rivers and Chelsea Handler!  I'm not even certain why they don't like each other.  I hear that the animosity started a while back at some event for the E! network.  Joan and Chelsea both believe they were SNUBBED by the other.  Chelsea recently went on a radio show and said, "Joan Rivers?  What the [eff] do I care about Joan Rivers?  I don't think about her ever." Then Joan went on the same radio show accusing Chelsea of being a drunk and sleeping her way to the top.   Chelsea is like a young Joan, equally repulsive with a LOT less experience.  

 

 

For the time that Lamar is in Dallas after being traded from the LA Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks, Khloe Kardashian is getting her own radio show.  It's only for an hour.  I have no idea what it's going to be about, but let's all be happy we aren't in Dallas. 

 

 

We hear so much about Kim, Khloe and Kourtney . . (and little Robbie) . . but what about 16 year old Kendall and 14 year old Kylie (Jenner).  Their dad, Bruce Jenner doesn't really think they are college material. He said, "I think by the time they graduate from high school, they will probably be in a position to go right to working." He also pointed out that the girls already have a Sears clothing line and Kendall is an aspiring model with a few magazine covers already under her belt.  

 

 

Good news for Heidi Klum . . "Us Weekly" says that she and Seal have a prenuptial agreement in place.  This is good news for HER because he's (only) worth somewhere around $15 million, while SHE has a fortune in the neighborhood of $70 million.

 

 

‎"Broadcasting & Cable" says Diddy is starting "a music-themed cable network" called "Revolt," which is expected to launch on December 12th. "Sources" say it's a "music and music news channel with an urban skew." In other words, old-school MTV, geared toward an African American audience. Diddy hasn't commented.

Rihanna has surpassed Lady Gaga to become the most-viewed female artist on YouTube.  As of this weekend, Rihanna has 2.07 BILLION hits . . . while Gaga has 2.04 billion.  Justin Bieber still trumps both of them, with 2.28 billion views. 

 

 

Jim Carrey's  24-year-old daughter Jane got a "golden ticket" to Hollywood after auditioning on American Idol Sunday night. RadarOnline.com claims Jane got special treatment.  A source says, "Her audition was pre-arranged with the producers.  She did not wait and line up for hours or days outside. She had a time, she showed up and went in." On the show Jane discussed how being the kid of a celebrity, "helps and hurts."  She said, "Everyone growing up has their issue with identity and trying to find themselves. It's difficult growing up in the shadow of something and trying to find your place in the world. I feel like there's this pressure to maybe be better, because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying 'Oh you only got there because of this.'"  AmericanIdol.com 

 

 

Katy Perry is re-releasing "Teenage Dream" on March 13th.  The new edition is called "Teenage Dream:  The Complete Confection", and it'll include songs that didn't make it on the original album.

 

 

TMZ says Halle Berry is going to court today to seek some kind of legal protection for her 3-year-old daughter Nahla, claiming the child's father, Gabriel Aubry is a danger to her. Recently, a nanny filed charges against Gabriel for pushing her while she was holding the toddler. 

 

 

50 Cent just cashed in on a $500,000 bet.  He says, "Sometimes I hear voices in my head, and they tell me things.  Like bet on the GIANTS.  So I listen, now look." He's decided he's going to give the money to his grandmother.

Yesterday, Heidi Klum and Seal announced that their marriage is over.  They said, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.  This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition."

 

 

Simon Cowell has called off his engagement to girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy.  But he's not ruling the relationship dead yet. He says,"It's quite a complicated relationship.  We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close.  I'm vulnerable.  It's not on, it's not off, it's somewhere in the middle.  I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

 

 

You know it's officially over now that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are no longer "following" each other on Twitter.  Apparently, things have gotten so bad between them that the only way they communicate anymore is over the phone or through e-mail. 

 

 

This stuff would scare anyone away from marriage.  I don't care how much you love someone, if you make millions of dollars, get a pre-nup! TMZ is reporting that Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa is getting HALF of his $75 million . . . including all three of their homes, which are worth $18.8 million.  In California, when there's no prenup, the state can split a couple's assets 50-50.

 

 

Costa Cruises, the Italian cruise ship line behind the wreck that led to 13 deaths, and 19 missing people, have a brilliant idea of how to make everything better.  They've announced that not only will they be giving all the passengers from the ship a full refund.  But, a spokesman says, "[We] will offer them a 30% discount on future cruises." ????  One of the survivors, a 63 year old man from England says, "It is a ridiculous and insulting offer."  A class action lawsuit is in the works, with passengers seeking between $155,000 and $1.5 Million.

 Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be on one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001 - but he ended up taking an earlier flight.   In the new issue of "Men's Journal", he talks about how he's had more than 50 dreams about what would have happened if he WAS on one of those flights.  At the same time, he offended many people. He said that the only casualties would have been the terrorists.   "If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely.  Don't worry.'"  Personally, I don't think he meant anything malicious by his comments -- imagine what he's been going through, psychologically for the last 10 years. 

 

 

NPH graces the February cover of "Out" Magazine with boyfriend, David. In the article, he says, "I'm not the biggest fan of the word 'partner': It either means that we run a business together or we're cowboys. 'Boyfriend' seems fleeting, like maybe we met two weeks ago. I've been saying 'better half' for as long as I've been able to."

 

 

Justin Bieber is helping his hometown of Stratford, Ontario raise money to rebuild a local skateboarding park. On December 23, the local dealership was papered over and Bieber slipped in to sign the dashboard of a red 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0. It will go on sale on eBay tomorrow and run for 10 days.  Justin recently raised $10,000 for a hometown food bank, Stratford House of Blessing, where he and his mother at one time would go when they couldn't manage a proper Christmas meal.

25,000 people were asked which celebrity is on their "to-do" list (if their spouse gave them permission).  The guys went straight for newly-single Katy Perry.  She was followed by Rihanna and Mila Kunis.  Ryan Gosling was the top pick for the ladies, followed by George Clooney.

 

 

And just to put this out there -- The National Enquirer is saying that O.J. Simpson is Khloe  Kardashian's real dad. At first I was like, "oh for God's sake" . . but she and Sydney Simpson DO look alike. 

 

 

Celebrity chef star Paula Deen admitted yesterday, on the Today Show, that she has Type 2 Diabetes and that she has known about it for THREE YEARS. So why did she wait so long to tell the public -- after making incredibly uinhealthy dishes . . ?  She says, "I had to figure things out in my own head, talk to my doctor."  She also defended her cooking, "On my show I share with you all these yummy, fattening recipes, but I tell people 'in moderation.'  You can have that little piece of pie." The one thing she REFUSES to cut out is butter, "I will never use a substitute for butter.  Margarine is one molecule away from eating plastic. There is a good chance that I can cut down on the amount of butter now that I'm aware, but will I cut butter out of my life completely?  No."

 

 

 

Donald Trump is a rich, greedy, DB.  He recently placed his own net worth at $7 BILLION.  And apparently, one of the ways he stays so rich is by not giving much money to charity.  By not much money, I mean a laughable amount.  He doesn't even give much to his OWN charity.  In the past five years, he's only put $675,000 of his own money into it. But check this out -- In 2010, the Trump Foundation made 53 donations, totaling just over a million bucks including $300 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A million dollars -- seems like a lot -- but let's put this into perspective . . the same year, 2010, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg put $350 million into his own charitable foundation. 

 

  

 

LL Cool J will host the ACTUAL Grammys Awards Ceremony this year.  He's hosted the live Grammy nominations concert show each year since 2008. This is his first time taking the reins of the award show itself. 

 

 

The new Us Weekly will reveal that Rihanna and Chris Brown have secretly been hooking up for nearly a year. A source close to Chris says, "She comes to see him anytime she's in L.A.  They can't get enough of each other. I don't see it ending well."  An insider close to Rihanna is saying that Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that."  A rep for Chris Brown says, "He and Rihanna are just friends" while there has been no comment on Rihanna's end.

 

 

 

I guess this makes it pretty official:  Kristin Wiig says she and her writing partner Annie Mumolo are NOT doing a "Bridesmaids" sequel. She says, "We had a special time making the first one, but we're really excited to try something else."

 

 

Lindsay Lohan is doing a stellar job with her probation.  According to Judge Stephanie Sautner, during a hearing yesterday (that Lindsay was 15 minutes EARLY for), "Keep doing what you're doing.  You appear to be doing it well.  The probation officer has written a favorable report, as has the volunteer center." 

 

 

In the February issue of "Vogue", Taylor Swift was asked how she approaches her "romantic life".  She said, "I think I am smart unless I am really, really in love, and then I am ridiculously stupid."  It looks like her fourth album will be about break-ups (again) . . Taylor said, "There's just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak, and that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way that I can feel better about myself . . . pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone . . . is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity."

Kate Gosselin is headlining a Caribbean cruise in August, and it's selling BIG TIME.  The company that's running the cruise says people are paying between $1,575 to $5,500 PER PERSON for a spot.

 

 

It's funny how the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Separation works. It seems as though he and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick are distant cousins.  Kevin and Kyra had their family histories traced for a new PBS series called "Finding Your Roots".  The show also discovered that there was a "gruesome murder" in Robert Downey Jr.'s family two generations ago.  "Finding Your Roots" debuts in March. 

 

 

We almost lost a legend on Friday.  Gene Hackman was hit from behind by a car while riding a bicycle in the Florida Keys.  He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of what were apparently minor injuries. He was released later that night stating he suffered "bumps and bruises", and was only hospitalized for "routine tests".

 

 

Brad Pitt's first audition was for the 1988 Jodie Foster movie "The Accused".  It didn't go well. Brad says, "I called up my agent afterward and asked, 'How did I do?'   There were three seconds of silence and then he said, 'Have you ever thought about acting classes?'"

 

Nick presented Mariah with the Entertainer of the Year Award on Saturday night at the "2012 BET Honors". And he told the crowd,  "When times are hard, you guys don't see her at 3 o'clock in the morning, getting up in the middle of the night, fixing me soup when my kidneys ain't acting right.  Mariah Carey does that."  He added, "It is truly, truly a blessing to be here tonight, and I am humbled and in awe of everyone's presence, but mostly my hero right there.  What most people don't get the opportunity to experience is the true woman;  the virtuous person who is my angel." The BET Honors will air February 13th.

 

 

Some interesting inside-Hollywood news was revealed during a recent appearance with Rosie O'Donnell on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live", Rosie said that there were SECRET LESBIAN PARTIES in Hollywood in the mid '90s.  She said, "It would be like Melissa Etheridge would throw a party and K.D. Lang would be there, and I would be there, and Ellen Degeneres would be there . . and Sara Gilbert.  "I was totally flipped out because Sara was like 19 at the time.  And I would say to Ellen, 'Get her out of here, it's illegal,' not that there were like naked women and toys everywhere.  But we were sort of a little bit more of a clique when we were younger."

 

 

 

Crazy sad news . . Heather Locklear was hospitalized yesterday after allegedly mixing alcohol and prescription drugs.  According to TMZ, Heather's sister called 911 at about 2:00 P.M. saying she believed Heather was in danger.  After an hour, Heather left with Paramedics.  A hospital spokesperson told TMZ that Heather was, "awake and responsive when she arrived" and that she's "responding well to treatment."  And Heather's parents, who are with her at the hospital, said, "She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine."   They sound awfully supportive.

 

The people at Lenox Hill Hospital constructed a VIP suite for Beyonce and Jay-Z that included four flat-screen TVs, a kitchenette, artwork, living room set and Jay had his own bed, too. The hospital is keeping the suite for future use.  Imagine what that would cost!

 

Lil Wayne is putting out a memoir on the eight months he spent behind bars in 2010.  It's called "Gone Till November", and it's scheduled to be out on November 28th.    According to the publisher, the book will include stuff from the "revealing, detailed journals" Wayne kept while incarcerated.   Those notes include, "his thoughts and feelings, the strange people he met, his plans, his family, his children, his past, present and future."

 

 

Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift are on board to perform at the Grammy's on February 12th.  Adele is SUPPOSED to perform, but we're unsure if she will because of the throat surgery she's had.  If she's smart, she should be there -- I'll bet she's taking home a lot of awards that night!  It does look like she WILL perform at the Brit Awards a few weeks after the Grammys', on February 21st. 

 

 

Hulk Hogan needs some new acting gigs, so he's considering shaving off his signature hair and MUSTACHE to make it happen.  But the chairman of the American Mustache Institute (???) is urging Hulk not to shave, because that would cause, "angels in heaven to die and fall to earth."

Katy Perry might be regretting her decision to skip last night's "People's Choice Awards" . . . because she won FIVE trophies!  More than anybody else.  She got Favorite Female Artist,  Favorite Tour Headliner, Song of the Year for "E.T.", Favorite Music Video for "Last Friday Night"  and Favorite TV Guest Star for her appearance on "How I Met Your Mother".

 

 

Here we go!  I predicted this, and obviously others had the same thought too.  Katy Perry's parents are very religious -- they are Christian pastors.  Katy is going through a divorce.  Katy's mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again, Who should Katy turn her attention to?  The handsome, charming, intelligent, athletic, GOOD CHRISTIAN, Tim Tebow.   "OK!" magazine claims Katy's parents invited Tim Tebow to speak at their church in Huntington Beach, California on a day when Katy is going to be there in hopes of a HEAVENLY HOOK-UP.

 

 

This story could be true -- but I really don't want to bog the juice with Kardashian Krap.  Khloe might have a different father than Kim and Kourtney.  Even Kris admits she cheated on Robert Kardashian when they were married Roberts ex-wife and widow are saying they were told, by Robert himself, that he's not Khloe's father.  

 

 

 

Thanks to Jay-Z's new song "Glory", his daughter Blue Ivy Carter is officially the youngest person to ever make a "Billboard" chart.  Blue, who was just born on Saturday, cries at the end of the song.  And Jay was smart enough to give her a credit by calling the song "Glory featuring B.I.C."  The song made its debut this week on the R&B / Hip-Hop Songs chart, at #74.  Jay isn't the first person to come up with this idea.  Stevie Wonder recorded the song "Isn't She Lovely?" for his newborn daughter Aisha nearly 40 years ago, he included some of her infant noises.  BUT, he didn't credit her on the track.  Also, the song didn't chart right away.  Aisha was almost 2 when it finally did in 1977.

 

 

42 year old Jennifer Lopez doesn't want to pay for her 24-year-old boyfriend CASPER SMART everywhere they go.  So she devised a simple solution:  She gives him a $10,000-a-week allowance so he has his own cash.  But there's a condition:  He has to use some of it on her.  A source says, quote, "She hated having to whip out her credit card every time they go to dinner.  Jen figured it's easier to give Casper a weekly stipend, and she thought $10,000 was a nice round number. "Jen doesn't want to go over the top, showering Casper with too much, but she also wants him to up his game.  "Jen is hoping Casper won't think twice about buying presents for her kids or whisking her off for a surprise weekend getaway."

 

 

 

When Ashton Kutcher jumped on the "Two and a Half Men" train, he only signed a one-year contract.  So what will the future be . . especially now since he's a cheating DB . . he says he's open to doing another season, but no deal is in place yet. He says, "['Two and a Half Men' is] outperforming the [ratings] numbers from before I was here, so I think people are responding to it.  For me, having a show that people like and people want more of, that'll dictate my decision.  I have a couple of [movies] I think I'm going to do during the summer, but I'm having a lot of fun with these guys and interested in coming back."  The feeling is mutual.  A CBS executive said that they've begun preliminary talks with Ashton's people, but they've just scratched the surface at this point.

Beyonce, Jay Z and Baby Blue Ivy snuck out of the hospital from the side enterance at about 1:30 yesterday morning.  Their privacy was protected thanks to a motorcade of SUVs that snuck out a side entrance.  Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly spent more than a million bucks to cordon off the maternity ward at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital.  Some other new parents at the facility have complained of their treatment by hospital staff and the couple's private security. Of course.

 

 

On next Wednesday's episode of "Modern Family", Lily (the two-year-old adopted girl) somehow learns the F-WORD.  She says it at least once, and her parents, Cam and Mitchell, are scared that she'll blurt it out again at a wedding. Obviously, we won't HEAR her saying the F-word.  It'll be censored, but I can imagine the Parents Television Council will have a statement any time now.

 

 

AMC is developing a show based on "Goodfellas".  You remember Goodfellas, right?  Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta . . from 1990 . . Yea, so this makes a LOT of Italians really happy!   One of the executive producers will be Nicholas Pileggi, who co-wrote the movie screenplay, and who wrote "Wiseguys", the novel that the movie was based on.  But that's all we know for now.

This season of the "Bachelor" is tanking -- and fast!  Monday's episode only attracted 7.2 million viewers, which is the show's WORST turnout over its 16-season run.  Last week's season premiere didn't do much better.  It had 7.7 million viewers.

 

 

Looks like Lindsay Lohan still has some things to clear up.  The IRS is going after her for $93,700 in taxes they say she DIDN'T pay in 2009.  And, she's being sued over an accident from 2 years ago when a member of the paparazzi, was allegedly hit by a car she was riding in.  Lindsay and the driver were both named as defendants in the lawsuit.  There's no word how much the guy is suing for.

The big news is still the birth of Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy.  They have released a statement, "Hello Hello Baby Blue!  We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.  She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 pounds and it was the best experience of both of our lives.  We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."  Beyoncé and Jay-Z didn't reveal how they chose the baby's name, but sources are saying the middle name "Ivy" was chosen because of the number 4, which, in Roman numerals, is I-V.  It's a significant number for Beyoncé and Jay-Z.  Her birthday is September 4th and his is December 4th.  They were married on April 4th, or 4,4 and Beyoncé's last album was called "4".  They reportedly have matching "IV" tattoos on their ring fingers.  As for "Blue", people have pointed out that Jay-Z has released three albums titled "The Blueprint".

 

 

The big news gets bigger.  We now some intimate details about Baby Blue Ivy Carter.  Jay Z has released a song about his newborn daughter.   It's called "Glory featuring B.I.C."  The B.I.C. stands for Blue Ivy Carter - the track ends with some audio of her crying.  The song gives a revealation that this was Beyonce's second pregnancy because she had an unsuccessful one previously.  In the song, we hear:  "Last time, the miscarriage was so tragic / We was afraid you disappeared, but nah, dear, you magic."   Jay also reveals that Blue was conceived in Paris. Then there's the chorus that will probably choke you up . .  

 

 

Katy Perry will not be attending the People's Choice Awards tomorrow night.   She Tweeted, "Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards.  I want to thank you all for voting for me, fingers crossed!  #KATYCATS."

Katy Perry's parents are super-religious.  In fact, they're Christian preachers.  Last Wednesday, they did some guest-preaching at the Church in Ohio.  In their sermon, they suggested that Katy's divorce from Russell Brand is a good thing, because it brought people to the church.  Keith said, "What has taken place in my daughter's life has opened many opportunities.  God has given us a platform to go in and meet people and they like us because we are cool."  And Mary said, quote, "I'm sure Katy is trending on the Internet just to get you to church tonight.  I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in?"  What did Katy say?  She Tweeted, "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me.  Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family."

 

 

Dr. Dre put out a limited edition version of his Beats headphones, which are wrapped in FOX FUR.  They retail for an absurd $695.  So what organization would have something to say.  PETA sent Dre a letter asking him to, "keep fur and exotic-animal skins out of his Beats by Dre designs."  There's no response from Dre.

 

It looks like Johnny Depp and his long time French model girlfriend (Vanessa Paradis) are having trouble in paradise. RadarOnline.com says the relationship is in big trouble . . . and Johnny is even consulting lawyers to figure out how to end it.  A source says, "Johnny isn't handling anything well right now.  People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now.  Their relationship is heading toward the end."   By the way, they have been together since 1998 and they have two kids, 12-year-old Lily-Rose and 9-year-old Jack.

Jason Derulo was taken to a Miami hospital after fracturing his neck. He was practicing an acrobatic move when he fell and landed on his head.  He will recover, but will have to wear a neck brace for a couple of months, therefore,  he has cancelled his world tour.


 

A wannabe singer-songwriter named Chelsea Gill actually wrote and performed a song asking Jason Segel out for a drink.  He's the dude from the "Muppets". Nick Cannon has been hospitalized in Aspen, Colorado with what Mariah Carey is calling "mild kidney failure".  Yesterday she Tweeted, "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman."  Then she posted a message on her website saying, "We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful." 

 

This season of "The Bachelor" is going to have a lot of censored nudity.  Host Chris Harrison says, "It's a very nude season.  Ben is very comfortable in his own skin.  He doesn't have modesty issues."  My guess is that this is because the premiere didn't do well in the ratings.

 

 

 

Zooey Deschanel's financial records have hit the web because of her divorce from "Death Cab For Cutie" singer Ben Gibbard. Zooey has about $3 million in cash, property and stocks and bonds.  She has a ZERO BALANCE on all three of her credit cards, meaning she has no credit card debt.  Zooey makes about $95,000 a month, mostly thanks to her Fox series "New Girl", and her average monthly expenses are $22,550.  She also gives $1,500 a month to charity.

A Japanese company has produced a Steve Jobs action figure.  It features Steve's signature round glasses, black turtleneck and New Balance sneakers. The figure is a foot tall, and will set you back $99.  It's supposed to come out in February, but there's a good chance it won't come out at all.  Because it's NOT an officially licensed Apple product, and it's likely the Jobs family will block its release.

 

 

It's official, "X Factor" winner Melanie Amaro has signed her contract with Epic Records. Not sure when an album is due, but I'll bet it will be pretty quick. 

 

 

I'd like a job with NBC, please.  Their ads for the Superbowl have sold out!  And when we're looking at $3.5 million per 30 second ad, there's a lot of money rolling in.  (There was one ad that sold for $4 million.  Not sure who bought that one.  Apple?  As a Steve Jobs tribute??)  Now get this . . for the first time ever, the Superbowl will broadcast LIVE online as well and the digital ads have sold out, too.  No word on how much those went for.

Fox has decided to cancel the "So You Think You Can Dance" results show.  Obviously, there will be RESULTS, but the format will need to be changed so that the show can operate without the extra episode each week.  There aren't any details on how that will work yet. Season Nine will premiere in late May.

 

 

RadarOnline.com says Khloe wants to go blonde, but E! and her mom, Kris Jenner, won't let her.  Mostly because it won't date the series when it re-runs.  Also, exectutives at E! want all of the sisters to have a similar look because the girls are branded as sisters, obviously.  Earlier this year, Khloe dyed her hair red, and supposedly she immediately had to switch it back.  Here's an old pic with Khloe as a blonde. Apparently the rumors about Katy Perry and Russell Brand were true.  TMZ.com broke the news on Friday that after 14 months of marriage, Russell has filed for divorce.  Insiders say Russell and Katy initially loved the idea of being with someone with an opposite personality, but it soon led to a lot of drama.  One big issue win their marriage was reportedly Katy's desire to go out and party, while Russell preferred staying at home.  But while their marriage had problems, Katy and Russell don't have any anger towards each other.  Insiders add that their relationship fell apart because they're just a "bad pairing." 

 

 

THIS WEEK ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT --- amazing!  It's celebrity week (the first ever, actually) 

All of the celebrities will be competing for a charity of their choice.  The most interesting "contestant" is Snoop Doog!    "Price is Right" producer Mike Richards says fans might be surprised by his performance, telling AllHipHop.com that Snoop "knows more about the price of grocery items than you might think."

50 Cent is still battling with his record label. He tweeted that if Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine doesn't give him a new deal, he's going to continue releasing free music.  50 just recently dropped a new mixtape titled "The Big Ten," and the video for the album's latest single, "Put Ya Hands Up" generated more than three-million YouTube views in just 4 days.  Get this -- he's just announced that if anyone is interested in signing him he's a "young hungry artist" who works harder than anyone in hip-hop. 

 

 

Nicki Minaj will be kicking off 2012 with a pair of new music videos.  Nicki has Tweeted that she will be releasing videos for the songs "Roman in Moscow" and "Stupid H" in two weeks.  Both tracks are featured on her upcoming album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," which is due on Valentine's Day.  Along with her new videos, Nicki has also announced that she will be releasing the track listing for "Roman Reloaded" in three weeks.
